residence lasted up to the end of the 4 th-c. And indeed to the beginning of the
5 th-c. | | | .
Its owners were rich and jovial fellows, as indicated y the fragments of amphorae
used to import garum (type of brine with a variety of fish juices) from Lusitania
(Portugal) and wine from the Greek Isles, despite the fact that these two condiments
were commonly produced in the region itself (Sallacta, Ksour-Essaf). |

were also exceptional people, as evidenced by the sumptuousness and the exceptional
